Quality Hill
Quality Hill, Kansas City, is a historic neighborhood in the heart of downtown Kansas City which is a prime example of urban renewal. The architecture of Kansas City represents the city’s origins.
This 14-block area along the Missouri River in Kansas City’s oldest continuously occupied residential area and some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Missouri are located here.

It has been said that there are more restaurants per capita than anywhere else in Kansas City. Now Quality Hill also features some of the broadest variety of retail stores.
Lewis and Clark Monument
The Lewis and Clark monument, a.k.a. Clark’s Point, is located on top of Quality Hill in downtown Kansas City. The sculpture depicts the four members of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Sacagawea, whose baby is also visible, was part of their expedition group. Daub, an American sculptor, created the work.
The Lewis and Clark monument was presented to Kansas City as a gift from United States President. There are so many options and opportunities for fun things to do here during your visit.
If you’re with kids, then you have plenty of space for playing and exploring. One thing that visitors often overlook is the gorgeous view of downtown Kansas City from up there.
The other great thing about this place is how safe and clean it is. It’s not a huge park, but there are usually other people present, especially during the day on weekends.
One of the ways to reach St. George’s Golf and Country Club from 753 S 66th Terrace, Kansas City, KS 66111 is the following.
First, you need to get onto the Kaw Dr heading northeast and from it go onto the I-70 E. After driving for about 12 miles via I-70 E, you’ll cross the Kansas River, and about half a mile afterward you’ll cross the Kansas-Missouri state border, leaving the Kansas state behind and enter the Missouri state.
Continue driving eastward via I-70. Next, you have to take exit 2C toward US-169 N/Broadway. By taking the exit, you’ve entered the Quality Hill neighborhood. You’ll be driving a bit on the W 6th St, until you reach the Broadway Blvd. Turn right heading south onto Broadway Blvd, and immediately take another right to get off the Broadway Blvd into a parking lot. Your first stop, the ChargePoint Charging Station located at 600 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, will be on your left on this parking lot.
Moving south via Broadway Blvd, you’ll be driving between have the Quality Hill neighborhood on your right and the Financial District neighborhood on your left side. After about 0.1 miles of driving, you’ll reach the Crossroads Preparatory Academy located at 816 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64105.
Leaving 816 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City behind and continuing driving south for about 400 ft, you’ll reach Quaff Bar & Grill at 1010 Broadway Blvd.
Moving further south via Broadway Blvd for another 170 ft, and after passing the crossing with W 11st St, you’ll reach the parking lot of The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at the 416 W 12th St, Kansas City, MO 64105.
Leaving the parking lot on the corner of the W 11th St and Broadway Blvd and moving west via W 11th St for about 80ft till the crossing with Washington St. Turn right onto the Washington St due north. On your left, there will be the Crossroads Academy – Quality Hill located at 1080 Washington St, Kansas City.
Continuing north via Washington St, for another 0.2 mi, you’ll reach the W 9th St. Turn left (westward) onto W 9th St. Drive till the end and turn right onto Jefferson St. On your left, there will be a park, and you’ll pass by the West Terrace Park Playground. Moving north for about 300 ft via Jefferson St, you’ll reach the Lewis and Clark located at 611 W 8th St, Kansas City, MO 64105, United States.
